IASI Carbon Monoxide Profiles FORLI-CO - Metop

The main objective of the Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) is to provide high resolution atmospheric emission spectra to derive temperature and humidity profiles with high spectral and vertical resolution and accuracy. Additionally it is used for the determination of trace gases, as well as land and sea surface temperature, emissivity and cloud properties. The carbon monoxide (COx) product is generated with the O3M-SAF ULB/LATMOS FORLI-CO algorithm. It contains the total column and the vertical profiles of CO retrieved from IASI sounder measurements on 19 altitude layers, together with their averaging kernels. The products are provided at the single IASI footprint resolution (which is about 12 km with a spatial sampling of about 25 km at Nadir). This product is available via the Data Centre as the IASI Combined Sounding Products: EO:EUM:DAT:METOP:IASSND02. Product validation status is pre-Operational. NOTE: From 15/10/2021, Metop-A IASI data are no longer available.
