IRS Level 1 spectral soundings - MTG

This dataset contains the MTG IRS Level 1 spectral radiances in [W/m2/sr/m-1], provided as 877 ‘spectral sounding samples’ (SSS) in the long-wave IR range (LWIR), and 1076 samples in the mid-wave IR range (MWIR). A dwell consisting of 160x160 pixels represents a data cube of 160x160x(877+1076) values. Sampling the Earth disc is divided into four LACs (Local Area Coverage) regions, numbered 1 to 4 from South to North. LACn is encoded in the filename as ‘Qn’, ie, ‘Q4’ for ‘LAC4’ etc. LAC4 covering Europe is scanned every 30 minutes, and LACs 1, 2 and 3 are scanned in a different sequence.
