SLSTR Level 2 Fire Radiative Power - Sentinel-3The Copernicus NRT S3 FRP product identifies the location, and quantifies the radiative
power (in MegaWatts), emitted by any hotspot present on land and ocean surfaces, that
radiates a heating signal within a pixel size of 1 km2, in both daytime and nighttime
conditions. All threatening hotspots are identified and characterised within 3h after
SLSTR observation sensing time.
The latest Collection 3.2 of the NRT S3 FRP product (see news item https://user.eumetsat.int/news-events/news/collection-3-2-of-sentinel-3-near-real-time-fire-radiative-power)
is the result of a comprehensive improvement in quality and accuracy of hotspot detection,
and user-friendliness of the product format, thanks to positive feedback by fire experts
and users.
