IASI Noise Covariance Matrix - Metop

The instrument noise covariance matrix (NCM) is an important characteristic of the instrument as it provides the precision of the measurements, as well as the correlation between the error on the different channels. The noise covariance matrix file consists in a series of binary records. The matrices are used in data assimilation and numerical weather prediction.
