MWR Level 1B – Arctic Weather Satellite Proto-Flight Model - GlobalThe Arctic Weather Satellite (AWS) mission aims to demonstrate how a potential polar-orbiting
constellation of satellites could provide data for very short-term weather forecasts
and nowcasts in the Arctic, and around the world. Carrying a cross-track scanning
microwave radiometer, the AWS mission provides measurements of atmospheric humidity
and temperature. Reconstructed images from the AWS payload, spectrally and radiometrically
calibrated, and geometrically geolocated. Disclaimer: data gaps may occur without
